Tyco International overall was no diverse any other company in that it contained a chief executive officer (CEO) that planned to achieve success. Nevertheless at some point the current acceptance turned into greed. Dennis Kozlowski began doing work for Tyco in 1975 and was named the CEO in 1992. Kozlowski had a reputation if you are aggressive in the field and during his tenure at Tyco was named one of the " Top 25 Managers of the Year” to become one of the highest-paid CEOs (Kaplan, 2009, s. 14). Along his rise to the top, Kozlowski became subjected to a lavish lifestyle of luxurious vacations, firm jets and cars, and memberships. Within this rise, this individual also treated himself into a " $31 million Sixth Avenue condo, a vintage yacht, a Renoir, and a Monet” (Kaplan, 2009, s. 15). Yet , in 2002, Kozlowski's community began to crumble around him. He was initially accused of tax evasion, but this accusation by the Manhattan ag led to a broader research into Kozlowski's practices. Resulting from this analysis, Kozlowski retired as the CEO, was indicted to get looting billions of us dollars, and was convicted on a range of felonies that resulted in an 8-10 to 25 year phrase (Kaplan, 2009, p. 15).

Dennis Kozlowski, over the course of roughly twenty-five years made a huge impact on Tyco International, but he would not run the company alone. Tyco was composed with a main financial official (CFO) and board of directors. Which has a CFO and a panel of owners in place, just how was Kozlowski able to loot millions of dollars? Unethical habit has multiple definitions. Williams defined underhanded behavior as " both illegal or morally undesirable to the much larger community” (as cited in Gino & Bazerman, in. d., p. 709).
