This paper will examine Pitney Bowes' approach and evolution of their innovative and integrated way of employee medical care. While most companies were cutting health benefits Pitney Bowes could be found elevating their investing in employee wellness. This is because Pitney Bowes provides a fundamental understanding of the relationship between organizational health culture and the bottom line that is certainly shared simply by few. Michael Critelli, Pitney Bowes Professional Chairman explains that, " when the employees become ill, this directly influences our bottom line” (Porter & Baron, 2009, s. 1). Through research, fresh initiatives and studies they have been able not only save large numbers, but become recognized as leaders in enhancing employee overall health while managing spending. Pitney Bowes' procedure is dedicated to preventative attention, an idea which includes managed to slip by many businesses around the world. Through proactively getting rid of barriers to receiving medical and " providing assets which empower employees for taking control of their particular health” (Pitney Bowes, 2011), Pitney Bowes has significantly reduced health care cost although increasing the standard of employee wellness throughout the company.
